How many days a week do I need to work out in order to see results?
We recommend 2-3 times per week for strength training. You can utilize Balance Point every day for stretching and massage.
Will I have any negative effects?
It generally takes the body one or two sessions to acclimate to the vibration. If you drink sufficient water, it is unlikely that you have any sensations following a session. You could initially experience some light headedness or a headache. On the flip side, once your body adjusts, it is unlikely that you will have the aches and soreness following a workout as is prevalent in traditional strength training.
How long before I see results?
You will begin to notice that you feel differently within the first six sessions. Actual measurable results are dependent on how committed you are to your fitness goals. Generally speaking, it takes your body about 30 - 45 days to process and adapt to any significant changes in your lifestyle.
Why do I need to strengthen my muscles?
For several reasons; most importantly, the condition of your body's muscle infrastructure is directly linked to your BMR (basil metabolic rate), most commonly known as your metabolism. Through strength training you not only achieve and maintain a stronger athletic body, but you also enjoy a higher BMR. This means that your body will be programmed into a fat burning mode 24/7.
An often-overlooked benefit from strength training is that it significantly improves bone density for menopausal women and/or people suffering from osteoporosis.
What's the best way to build muscle?
Muscle is built when your body is in a metabolic state. There are three essentials for creating a metabolic state within your body: Training, Nutrition, and Rest
Neglecting one of these three areas can completely obstruct the body's ability to build muscle.
Can I get rid of my cellulite?
For the most part, the appearance of cellulite can be eliminated. The challenge for most people is that it takes time and varies with your exercise intensity. We have witnessed significant changes in 5 months of training.
What do I need to wear?
You will be most comfortable in exercise clothes, especially for stretching and massage. However, if you are time constrained, you can workout in your street clothes. We only permit non-street shoes or socks to workout in.
What else should I bring?
Bring a water bottle as we strongly encourage drinking a lot of fluids. Acceleration training increases circulation and flushes toxins as part of the process.
Should I exercise when I am ill?
Although we encourage you to do strength training 3 times per week, we recommend that if you are ill, that you do not exercise. We prefer that your energy be used to help you to recover quicker. We also ask that you be considerate of other Balance Point members.
